I have participated in a few different solo mom networks. It has been a wonderful experience to meet other single women who at the time also were going through
I was strengthened and confirmed in my belief that what I was doing was the right thing for me.
That is why I recommend that you find a network of your own. If you can’t find one, then just create one!
You may end up only meeting one single woman, who you truly connect with, but that one woman may very well turn out to be worth her weight in gold to you throughout your decision process and everyday life as a solo mom.
Because this will be a woman who is able to relate to your situation in a much more profound and connected way than any of your girlfriends, who are not considering becoming a single mom.
You may also choose to seek out single-parent network groups which usually arrange events for both parents and children. This is a way for you as a single parent to get out of the house and enjoy some great experiences.
At my live solo mom network evenings in Copenhagen, I find that the women truly enjoy meeting other women facing the same situation.
Some of them find new friends and form friendships that will last for a very long time, perhaps forever.
